not seen anywhere in the lower east side today – puerto ricans!
it is the one day a year where there is no constant bass blasting from every car that cruises the neighborhood and no groups of decrepit 80 year olds who have mistaken the sidewalk for their private family room.
it’s incredibly nice, (more so than michael j. fox and possibly even the brothers masson) and a wonderful look at what the neighborhood will look like when rent control is repealed. additionally, if they have so much pride in their native land why not consider going back to it? this might seem harsh, but their behavior during the parade generally represents a sub-human level of offensiveness, fulfilling every negative stereotype that might be cast over them.
